The Kwara State Government has lauded the administration of Ifelodun Local Government Area for its unwavering commitment to rural development through the implementation of impactful capital projects.

The commendation was given by the Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Development, Hon. Abubakar Bata, during a recent inspection tour of ongoing and completed projects across the local government area.

Hon. Bata noted that the projects executed by the council are strategically focused on improving the living standards in rural communities. Notable initiatives include the construction of a block of two classrooms at Budo-Owode in Share, rehabilitation and grading of rural roads, provision of boreholes, and the development of new market facilities.

He praised the Executive Chairman, Hadji Abdulrasheed Femi Yusuf, for prioritizing the needs of the people by delivering projects that promote economic growth and sustainable development at the grassroots level.

Speaking during the tour, the Executive Chairman explained that the initiatives align with Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s broader rural development vision, particularly in the area of critical infrastructure.

He emphasized that all projects were conceived based on community input and are part of an inclusive development agenda aimed at ensuring equitable growth across the local government.

The Commissioner was accompanied on the tour by the Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Iyabo Modupe Adekeye; the Director of Local Government Affairs, Mrs. Akande Christiana; and other top ministry officials.
