Former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and ex-Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje, has returned to Nigeria after spending several weeks on vacation in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Ganduje arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos on Saturday at about 4:30 p.m. aboard an Emirates Airlines flight. He later travelled to Abuja the same evening, arriving around 8 p.m.
Following his return, the former APC chairman is expected to begin a series of consultations and meetings with key stakeholders to discuss recent political developments in Kano State.
In a statement issued on Saturday by his Chief of Staff, Muhammad Garba, the consultations are aimed at assessing the current political climate in the state and engaging party leaders and other influential stakeholders on the way forward.
The statement also revealed that Ganduje would take part in the ongoing nationwide electronic membership registration exercise of the APC. The e-registration initiative, which was introduced during his tenure as national chairman, was designed to modernise the party’s membership system, improve internal planning, and create a credible and accessible database.
According to the statement, Ganduje remains committed to strengthening the party’s structure and encouraging inclusive dialogue to support democratic growth within the APC, particularly in Kano State.
