President Bola Tinubu has appointed the Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani, as Renewed Hope Ambassador and Deputy Director-General for party outreach, engagement and mobilisation.

The appointment, which takes immediate effect, was conveyed in a letter to the governor and announced on Tuesday in a statement issued by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

According to the statement, Tinubu made the appointment in his capacity as leader of the All Progressives Congress, citing Sani’s leadership qualities and organisational skills as key reasons for the decision.

The move comes shortly after the Independent National Electoral Commission released the timetable for the 2027 general elections, with campaigns scheduled to begin in November 2026.

In his new role, Sani is expected to work closely with the Director-General of the Renewed Hope Ambassador initiative and the party’s national leadership, particularly the APC National Chairman, to strengthen coordination and ensure inclusive mobilisation efforts across the country.

President Tinubu said the deputy director-general would play a critical role in promoting and communicating the party’s programmes, policies, and achievements to Nigerians, with the aim of boosting public confidence and reinforcing the Renewed Hope agenda nationwide.

In the appointment letter, Tinubu stressed that the ultimate goal is to ensure that Nigerians are fully informed about the party’s vision and candidates ahead of the 2027 elections.

“The overall objective of your appointment is to ensure that the entire citizenry is aware of, understands, and ultimately supports our party and its candidates at all levels for broad national acceptance in the 2027 election,” the President wrote.

He added that early preparation would be vital to achieving success, noting that Sani’s leadership would be central to driving the strategy effectively in the months ahead.
