The Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has urged residents to remain vigilant and security-conscious during the Easter celebrations, assuring that comprehensive measures have been put in place to safeguard lives and property across the state.
In a statement issued by the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Idowu Ajanaku, the government said extensive and coordinated security arrangements had been activated to ensure a peaceful festive period.
“Security agencies have been strategically deployed, with continuous surveillance and intelligence gathering to forestall any breach of peace,” the statement read.
The governor, while extending Easter greetings to Christian faithful, reiterated that the safety of residents remains a top priority of his administration.
Residents were also advised to promptly report any suspicious movements or activities to relevant security agencies.
The state government further called on citizens to pray for peace, unity and progress in Ondo State and Nigeria, while expressing support for President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Reaffirming its commitment, the government stressed that it would spare no effort in maintaining law and order before, during and after the Easter celebrations.
