The race for the Premier League title is heading into a thrilling final stretch as Arsenal and Manchester City continue their battle to be crowned champions of England.

After leading the table for most of the season, Arsenal are chasing their first league title since 2004 under manager Mikel Arteta. However, a dip in form in April allowed defending champions Manchester City to close the gap and turn the title race into another tense finish.

Despite City’s recent momentum, their dramatic draw against Everton handed Arsenal renewed hope with only a few matches left to play.

Arsenal face a difficult run-in beginning with an away clash against relegation-threatened West Ham United on May 10. With West Ham fighting to avoid relegation, the London derby is expected to be fiercely contested.

The Gunners will then host already-relegated Burnley on May 18, a fixture many fans believe could offer striker Viktor Gyökeres another opportunity to add to his goal tally after an impressive debut season.

Arsenal’s campaign will end away at Crystal Palace on May 24, with former Palace star Eberechi Eze expected to play a key role in what could become a title-deciding encounter.

Manchester City, managed by Pep Guardiola, also face a challenging final schedule.

City welcome Crystal Palace on May 13 before travelling to face high-flying AFC Bournemouth on May 19. Bournemouth have enjoyed an impressive unbeaten run and are pushing for European qualification, making the fixture one of City’s toughest remaining tests.

Guardiola’s men will conclude their season at home against Aston Villa, who are also battling for a place in next season’s UEFA Champions League.

The title race has already revived memories of City’s dramatic final-day comeback against Aston Villa in the 2021/22 season, when Guardiola’s side overturned a two-goal deficit to snatch the trophy from Liverpool.

With only weeks left in the campaign, both Arsenal and Manchester City know that a single mistake could decide who lifts the Premier League crown this season.
