Osun State Chapter of New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, is gradually becoming a carcass of its own following the exit of its State Chairman, Dr. Tosin Odeyemi.

Odeyemi, who has been directing the affairs of the party in the state for the past six years, resigned from NNPP on Friday, July 16, 2026 following the protracted crisis affecting the party nationwide.

But as soon as he dropped the resignation letter, his exodus triggered a domino effect, systematically hollowing out his former political home as many of his loyalists had decided to leave the party.

In their resignation letters, the deputy National Women leader, Hon. Solape Olatunbosun, said she’s no longer a member of NNPP while the Zonal Secretary (Southwest), Hon. Olalekan Fabayo said his decision was reached after careful consideration and personal reflection of his political journey.

Also, the Deputy State Secretary, Adegbaju Celestinah, Welfare Secretary, Akinfala IfeOluwa, Ife/Ijesa Senatorial Chairman, Prophet Peter O. Blessed, and State deputy Women leader, Mrs. Oladosu, all tendered their resignation letters to their respective ward Chairmen.
