The Ejigbo Youth Forum has dissociated itself from the endorsement of the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji.

Youth stakeholders in Ejigbo had on Wednesday endorsed the APC candidate, basing their support on party’s viability and grassroots connection.

Reacting to the development, President of Ejigbo Youth Forum, Wasiu Ajayi said the Forum was not part of the endorsement.

He said those who carried out the endorsement are members of the APC.

“We wish to state, unequivocally, that the Ejigbo Youth Forum was neither consulted nor involved in the rally, press conference, or endorsement contained in the publication.

“The views expressed therein are entirely those of the individuals involved and should not, under any circumstance, be interpreted as representing the collective position of the youths of Ejigbo Local Government.

“We are particularly concerned by the attempt by known members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), to parade themselves as speaking for all Ejigbo youths. Such actions are misleading, divisive, and capable of creating a false impression that the entire youth population has adopted a unified political position.

“The youth constituency of Ejigbo is diverse, vibrant, and politically independent. It comprises individuals with different political affiliations, ideologies, and aspirations. No individual or political group has the mandate to appropriate the collective voice of Ejigbo youths for partisan purposes.”

He urged the youths to go out on Saturday and vote for candidate of their choice.
