The notorious Lakurawa armed group has killed two immigration officers and one civilian in Kangiwa Local Government Area of Kebbi State on Saturday
According to a source who doesn’t want his name mentioned, the Immigration officers were at a spot where border-monitoring equipment would be installed when the Lakurawa gunmen struck.
On Saturday afternoon, around 2:00pm, people had gathered themselves at Sir Yahya Memorial Hospital, Birnin Kebbi, where the dead bodies of the victim were brought with a Hilux vehicle
Immigration officers who brought the dead bodies and keeps watching over the bodies refused to speak to our correspondence
Also, all efforts to speak with the Spokesperson to Kebbi State Police Command, SP Nafiu Abubakar, and that of immigration service has proved abortive
As at the time of this report, no official statement from the Immigration and the Police regarding the latest Lakurawa attack had been released
