A Pharmacy Student of University of Ibadan (UI) has taken social media by storm, not just for his achievements but for his unusual and unique name with “Will John Flourish”.
The 400-level student, who is also a mixologist, recently won two awards at his department’s event—Socialite of the Year and Best Dressed (Male, 400 Level).
Celebrating his wins, he shared a post on X (formerly Twitter) displaying his awards, which boldly bore his full name, ‘Will John Flourish.’
Accompanying the post, he wrote: “What a nightt🖤💯.”
His tweet quickly went viral, amassing over 856k views, 500+ likes, and more than a hundred comments. While many congratulated him, others were more fascinated by his name, sparking discussions online.
Some netizens suggested that he rearrange his full name to form a positive affirmation, while others jokingly said his name felt incomplete without a question mark.
Despite the buzz, Will John Flourish appeared unbothered, responding playfully to the comments and embracing the attention his name had drawn.
