The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has reacts to the revocation of its Right of Occupancy by the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led government, calling it an attempt to stifle opposition and undermine democracy.

This was contained in a statement issued on Tuesday by the PDP National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, he criticized the decision of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, to revoke the party’s land title, which includes both its National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, and a new property under construction.

Ologunagba described the move as “a drive towards totalitarianism and a threat to democracy.”

“The NWC is currently in a meeting, and I will provide a detailed response shortly,” Ologunagba stated.

The PDP insists that the action of Federal Capital Territory Authority to revoked the land is politically motivated and aimed at suppressing opposition voices in the country
