A group of young Nigerians under the banner of the Youth Alliance for Northern Development on Friday held a special prayer session in Kano to celebrate Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, on his 40th birthday.

The prayer, held at the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society Mosque on Sanusi Street in Sabon Gari, drew a large crowd of youths and well-wishers, particularly from Northern Nigeria.

Leading the prayer, Sheikh Abdullateef Emiabata offered supplications for Seyi Tinubu, asking God to grant him long life, good health, and continued strength to promote youth empowerment, social responsibility, and national unity.

The cleric also prayed for peace, unity, and economic progress across Nigeria, urging divine blessings for all citizens.

“We pray that God Almighty continues to shower His blessings on Nigerians and make peace and unity prevail in our country,” Sheikh Emiabata said.

“We also pray for the celebrant’s long life and good health so he can keep supporting youth empowerment and national unity.”

Speaking after the event, Seyi Olorunsola, convener of the prayer session, described Seyi Tinubu as “a distinguished youth icon, philanthropist, and visionary Nigerian.”

“Despite holding no elective office, Seyi has continued to champion educational and humanitarian causes, serving as a moral example to the younger generation,” he added.

Another youth leader, Isyaku Rabi’u, said the event was organized to recognize Seyi Tinubu’s contributions to youth development, particularly in Northern Nigeria.

“It’s on record that Seyi has facilitated more than 50 appointments for young people, especially in the North. We felt it was important to appreciate and celebrate him,” Rabi’u noted.
