The National Youth Assembly of Nigeria has congratulated the newly elected principal officers and members of its Osun State Assembly, describing their emergence as a reflection of confidence in their leadership and commitment to service.
According to a congratulatory letter addressed to the State Speaker, Rt. Hon. Ojewale Segun David on Monday, the National Speaker of NYAN, Usman Bashir Shagari, commended the new leadership for their successful election and urged them to uphold the core values of integrity, unity, accountability, and selfless service.
Shagari noted that their emergence goes beyond personal achievement, stressing that it comes with the responsibility of advancing the Assembly’s vision and strengthening youth participation in governance.
He charged the new leadership to demonstrate dedication to empowering young people, fostering inclusiveness, and initiating impactful programmes that will contribute to national development.
“You are entrusted with the responsibility of strengthening the Assembly at the state level, promoting active youth participation in governance, and serving as a voice for progressive change,” the statement read.
The NYAN leadership also encouraged the Osun State chapter to work collaboratively, remain focused, and strive for excellence in all engagements.
Reaffirming confidence in the new executives, Shagari expressed optimism that their tenure would bring growth, innovation, and renewed vitality to the Assembly in the state.
