The premiere, scheduled for November 29 at the prestigious Odeon Luxe Leicester Square in London, will take place ahead of the film’s nationwide cinema release in Nigeria on December 11.
The film’s distributor, FilmOne Entertainment, announced the development on Thursday in a post on X, expressing appreciation to audiences for their overwhelming response.
“We are officially sold out! You made this happen! The premiere of The Four at ODEON Luxe Leicester Square is officially sold out, and we couldn’t be more grateful,” the company said.
Akindele had earlier announced the London screening on her verified Instagram account, describing it as a major moment for Nigerian cinema.
In her announcement, the filmmaker said Funke Akindele Network and FilmOne Entertainment were proud to bring the movie to the iconic London venue, adding that the event would mark an important milestone for the production.
The sold-out premiere comes as Nollywood continues to strengthen its presence beyond Nigeria, with filmmakers increasingly taking their productions to international audiences through overseas premieres, screenings and promotional campaigns.
Akindele has remained one of the industry’s leading commercial filmmakers, with several successful productions helping to expand the reach of Nigerian cinema.
With the London premiere fully booked, attention will now turn to the film’s Nigerian cinema debut on December 11.
