Edo State Governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki on Thursday, October 17, debunked the reports claiming that he was planning to dump the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.

While dismissing the rumours, some of which were made by top party chiefs in the state following the long-drawn battle between him and Adams Oshiomhole, national chairman of the APC, Obaseki said he was not going anywhere.

Vanguard reports that the governor spoke when he received members of the Godwin Obaseki Support Group (GOSG) in Benin City, the state capital.

Obaseki who said the APC is the party for the youths and the next generation, said: “If a handful of individuals start misbehaving and feel we will leave the party for them; they will be the ones to leave.

“This is a government of real change, which is concerned about youths and the future. This government has performed beyond people’s expectations and we are proud of the things we have done so far.”

While noting that his administration is committed to infrastructural development, the governor commended the members of the group for their support for his administration.
