Three persons were injured on Sunday night when some herdsmen attacked Koka village in Obokun local government area of Osun State in an attempt to kidnap some villagers.
According to residents of the village, the attackers stormed the village around 11pm on Sunday and engaged in gun duel with local hunters and vigilantes.
It was gathered that three hunters sustained gunshot injuries and were taken to Osun State specialist hospital in Osogbo for treatment.
Confirming the incident, spokesperson of the Police in Osun State, Yemisi Opalola said the police officers have cordon off the area. She said efforts are ongoing to apprehend the attackers.
