With Governor’s intervention, she’ll be out Wednesday – Counsel

Osun State Governor, Mr Gboyega Oyetola has given the Commissioner of Police in the State, Olawale Olokode a marching order to ensure the immediate release of the founder of Ero Arike, Alhaja Falilat Adegboyega, on Court bail, source has told InsightMedia.

Alhaja Adegboyega was arrested on Thursday by operatives of the Osun State Command over malicious damage of properties of some individuals in Iragbiji, Boripe local government area of the State.

She was charged to court on Friday and was remanded until January 17, 2022.

Sources told InsightMedia that Governor Oyetola,  upon arrival into the State on Saturday expressed his unhappiness over the development. He immediately ordered the police boss to ensure he finds all possible means towards immediate release of Ero Arike Founder.

Our correspondent also gathered that barring last minutes changes, she will regain her freedom upon resumption of courts after Christmas holiday on Wednesday. The police have also held a meeting with the suspect’s counsel, Mr Ugwuoke Nwoke.

Nwoke while speaking with InsightMedia on phone confirmed the development. He said the Governor’s intervention has been a promising one.

“Yes, I’m aware that the Governor has interest in her release and he has directed that. I’m also part of the discussion around it and hopefully, she will be released on Wednesday. Nwoke said.
