Senator Ademola Adeleke, the Governor of Osun state, joined traditional fathers and medical professionals across the country to commission the ultra modern Osogbo Central Hospital amidst celebration and joyous atmosphere.
The event held on Thursday, January 12th, 2023 at Osogbo Central Hospital will always be remembered as historic day, as it drafted people from all walks of life.
Osogbo Central Hospital is a multi-million naira project equiped with state-of-the-art facilities geared towards ending medical tourism in the country.
Speaking at the event, Adeleke who was represented by his deputy, Prince Kola Adewusi appreciated the efforts of the Chief Medical Director, Dr Akindele Ajayi for their vision.
“It is a good signal that good things are happening in Osun state, because Government cannot do it all alone without private partnership like we’re witnessing today. Light has come in Osun and our government will surely continue to support private investments to ensure they blossom.”
“A good business environment will be provided for individuals, organizations, that are interested in coming back home to exhibit and to show what they have in stuff. Please let’s come to Osun state and invest, lively business environment will be provided.
Expressing his genuine delight, the Oyo state government, His Excellency Seyi Makinde represented by his Senior Special Adviser on Youth and Sports, Hon. Olarewaju Kazeem, described Dr. Ajayi as a great man who has always aimed higher and focused throughout his life. He advised all young individuals to emulate Dr Ajayi,in order to achieve great things in life.
“Everyone seated here might be surprised today, but I am not because I know the stuff Dr Ajayi is made of and I know he’s going to be great.
In his speech, The Chief Medical Director, Dr Akin Ajayi says God is his pillar and strength considering how he and his wife from the scratch by shouldering all duties required of professionals.
“O.C.H came into existence on 1st of June 2015, in a 3 bedroom apartments. During the first week, we shouldered all the duties required of professionals, para professionals, and janitors because we had no single staff.
He added that, “over the years O.C.H has become a sought after and one medical institution with about 100 staff and state-of-the-art equipment.
He said the hospital provides 24-hours services in areas of family medicine, General Medicine, General Surgery, Psychiatry, Ultrasound Scan, Digital X-ray, Dental Orthopantogram (OPG), Ophthalmology, Dental services with orthodentic care, Special Baby Care unit, Dialysis for Kidney therapy, Intensive Care Unit for critically-ill patients, EGG, ECHO, Physiotherapy, Gym, stand by ambulance services with transport ventilator and life support and 24 hours uninterrupted power supply.
Dr Ajayi said “O.C.H intends to end medical tourism as it’s one-stop shop for all medical treatments. We believe with the facilities here, we will continue to deliver best medical service to people of the State”.
