Lawmaker representing Ede North State Constituency and Majority Leader of the Osun State House of Assembly, Akogun Nurudeen Kofoworola Babajide will on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 commence another round of educational advancement programme in his Constituency.
The programme, tagged Empower to Excel, is aimed at supporting education activities and complementing the effort of Governor Ademola Adeleke in the area of education.
In a chat with InsightMedia, the Majority Leader revealed that no fewer than one thousand students from both primary and secondary categories will be given educational materials to ease the burden on their parents and “most importantly, to encourage them.”
Babajide said, “during our campaign, we promised to ensure we improve education in our Constituency by consolidating on what we did during our first time. On September 26th, this year, we shall be holding another programme aimed at improving education in our Constituency.
“We shall be giving no fewer than 1,000 students educational materials to encourage them and to also lift burden on their parents. This is not my first time as we did it during our first term in the House of Assembly.”
Babajide also revealed that the event will be held at the late Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke country home in Ede. Timi of Ede, Oba Munirudeen Adesola Lawal; Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Adewale Egbedun, members of the House, stakeholders from Ede and PDP chieftains are expected at the event.
