Former House of Representatives member, Hon. Taiwo Oluga, has welcomed Prince Dotun Babayemi and several key members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) into the All Progressives Congress.

The official reception ceremony for Babayemi and itherwas held at the party secretariat in Osogbo on Friday.

According to the statement signed by Oluga, the defection will help strengthening the APC’s presence not just in the Irewole Federal Constituency, but across the entire state.

Hon. Oluga highlighted the importance of the new members’ decision to join the APC.

“Today marks a historic milestone as we witness the convergence of visionary leaders who have resolved to join our progressive family,” she stated, emphasizing the party’s commitment to principles that prioritize the people.

She specially recognized female members who joined the APC, underscoring the party’s dedication to gender equity and women’s empowerment.

Hon. Oluga assured them of equal opportunities and a supportive environment within the APC. She contrasted this with their previous affiliation, pointing out the lack of female representation in significant roles within the PDP-led government.

“As we celebrate this significant moment, it is crucial to recognize the pivotal role that women play in our political landscape,” Oluga remarked.

She also encouraged the new female members to leverage the opportunities within the APC to advance their leadership aspirations.

In conclusion, She expressed optimism about the future, while attributing potential improvements to the effective implementation of the APC’s policies under President Bola Tinubu’s Agenda for the country.

Together, let us forge ahead with renewed vigor and determination, as we strive to build a stronger, more prosperous Nigeria for generations to come under the “Renewed Hope Agenda” of President Bola Tinubu”, she concluded.
