The national body of Ilobu-Asake Development Union, has congratulated a son of the soil, Mr Rasheed Olalere Alabi on his appointment as the Accountant General of Osun State by Governor Adegboyega Oyetola.

The National President, Pastor Olufemi Salako in a statement on Wednesday, described the elevation as reward for hardwork, resilience, integrity and dedication of Alabi, which according to him are symbols of every Ilobu son and daughter.

The statement partly read, “On behalf of the Olobu of Ilobu, Oba Asiru Olatoye Olaniyan II, the national executive committee of Ilobu-Asake Development Union, sons and daughters of Ilobu home and in Diaspora, I congratulate you on your elevation as the Osun State Accountant General.

“Your appointment is no doubt a reward for your dedication, resilience, integrity and unquantifiable hardwork which I believe, are symbols of every son and daughter of Ilobu-Asake. While we have no doubt in our minds that you will not only excel in your new role as the number one Accountant in Osun, we also believe you’ll make Ilobu proud more.”

The IDU President also commended the Governor of Osun State, Mr Adegboyega Oyetola for finding Alabi worthy of the appointment.

Alabi was announced on Tuesday night as the new Accountant General via a statement signed by Mr Leye Aina, a Permanent Secretary in the office of the Head of Service.

Until his appointment, he was the Director, Treasury and Pension Services in the office of the Accountant General.
