The Executive Chairmam of Federal Character Commission, Hon. Ayo Omidiran, has announced former reporter with Television Continental, Ademola Lawrence as Spokesperson of the Commission.
Omidiran presented letter of appointment to Lawrence on Wednesday in Abuja.
Prior to his appointment, Lawrence was a senior reporter and news anchor at the TVC.
Lawrence is a writer and communications professional with a career spanning television broadcasting, and public relations.
He started his media career in 2014 at Loveworld Television, where he developed foundational skills in broadcasting, interviewing and storytelling.
While working at Loveworld Television, he covered the 2015 general election, which exposed him to early experience in political reportage.
In 2018, he joined TVC Communications as a sports anchor and reporter. He further rose to the position of senior reporter and news anchor.
Lawrence has reported on major political events, including the 2019 and 2023 elections in Akwa Ibom state.
The media personality also launched ‘Mr Truth’ podcast as a platform to shape conversations on politics and social issues by interviewing key figures and stakeholders in Nigeria’s political sphere.
Lawrence has authored multiple publications on political and social issues, cementing his reputation as a respected political and public affairs analyst.
At FCC, he is expected to leverage his experience to advance transparency, equity, and national unity.
