The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has started rescheduling candidates affected by technical issues during the ongoing 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
According to the examination body, candidates impacted by the disruptions are already receiving notifications containing new dates and times for their exams.
In the messages sent out, JAMB advised affected candidates to check their updated schedules and reprint their examination slips through the official portal for full details.
“Your exam has been rescheduled… Kindly visit the official portal to reprint your exam slip for more details,” part of the notification read.
The board also urged candidates who are yet to receive such updates to remain patient and continue checking their email and SMS inboxes, as the rescheduling process is being carried out in phases.
The development follows reports of technical challenges at some Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres, including system failures, biometric verification issues, network disruptions, and other centre-related faults recorded during the early stages of the examination.
JAMB had earlier assured candidates that those affected by verified technical problems would be given another opportunity to sit for the exam.
However, the board clarified that the rescheduling exercise is strictly for candidates who experienced genuine technical difficulties and does not apply to those who missed their examinations without valid reasons.
