Nigerian actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde recently opened up about her journey following gallbladder removal surgery, which left her with visible scars.
In an Instagram post on Saturday, the actress acknowledged that while the scars could have impacted her confidence, she remains undeterred.
In November 2024, Omotola revealed her battle with a life-threatening illness. Reflecting on her recovery, she shared a video where she admitted, “My tummy is no longer perfect.”
She went on to explain, “Late in 2024, I had emergency surgery. My tummy was one of the best parts of my body, but it’s not so perfect anymore.”
Recalling a moment during a recent photoshoot, she confessed, “During the shoot, I instinctively grabbed my top and heard a little voice say, ‘There’s nothing to show anymore.’ Not me! What could shake my confidence hasn’t been created yet. I smiled, danced, and celebrated life. It’s just scars. Some scars are physical, while others are emotional.”
