Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has mourned the passing of Adesoji Omosebi, Publisher of SOJ Worldwide Online News and a prominent member of the Osun Online Publishers Association (OOPA).

In a statement issued on Monday through his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, Governor Adeleke described Omosebi’s death as a significant loss to the media industry in Osun State.

He noted that the late publisher played a vital role in the growth of the state’s online media sector, particularly through his service as the pioneer chairman of OOPA.

“Today, we mourn the demise of Adesoji Omosebi, the Publisher of SOJ Worldwide Online News,” the governor said. “His contributions to the development of the online media sector in Osun State will never be forgotten. He was a committed player in the fourth estate of the realm and a strong contributor to the state’s progress.”

Governor Adeleke also revealed that he has directed the Osun State Health Insurance Agency to explore the inclusion of journalists in the state’s health insurance programme, acknowledging their crucial role in society.

He extended his condolences to Omosebi’s family, praying for comfort and strength during their time of grief.

“May God Almighty comfort his family and grant them the fortitude to bear this great loss. SOJ will be missed greatly,” the statement read.
