The National Youth Service Corps has announced a slight change to the orientation timetable for prospective corps members posted to Enugu and Osun states under the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II programme.

In a statement released on Monday by the NYSC Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, the scheme disclosed that the orientation exercise in the two states will now begin on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, and conclude on Monday, May 18, 2026.

According to the NYSC, the adjustment became necessary due to ongoing renovation work at the orientation camps by the respective state governments.

The statement clarified that the schedule for other states and the Federal Capital Territory remains unchanged. Their orientation exercise is still set to hold from Wednesday, April 22, 2026, to Tuesday, May 12, 2026.

Prospective corps members affected by the change have been advised to take note of the new dates and make the necessary arrangements.

The scheme also wished all participants safe travels to their assigned states.

Earlier reports indicated that call-up letters for the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II had already been released. Many candidates confirmed that their deployment details and call-up numbers were uploaded to the NYSC portal early Monday morning, although heavy traffic caused temporary access issues for some users.
