How we killed shared parts of money-ritual seeker for rituals – suspects


Suspected ritualists have confessed how they killed a man who visited one of them for ritual, dismantled his parts and shared it among themselves for rituals.

The suspects, Ifaseun Afolabi, Ifadare Afolabi, Adeleke Kabiru, Oloyede Maruf, Oseni Mukaila and Badmus Sairu explained were paraded by the Osun State Commissioner of Police, Olawale Olokode on Saturday in Osogbo.

Olokode said the mother of victim identified as Ayoade Fasesan aged 35 years, on 24th May, 2021, logged complains at the police station that her son left house that he was going to studio and since then he did not return home.

“Upon the receipt of the report, police detectives from Anti Kidnapping unit swung into action and conducted diligent intelligence led investigation which yielded the arrest of one Faseun Afolabi ‘m’. The suspect who initially denied to have knowledge of the whereabouts of the victim but confirmed that he knew him, finally confessed to have conspired with two of his cohorts Fadare Afolabi and Taiwo surname yet unknown to kill the victim.

“They also confessed to have butchered and sold the heart to Adeleke Kabiru at the cost N15,ooo.00 while the head, leg and wrist were sold to Adeleke Kabiru ‘m’, Oloyede Maruf ‘m’, Oseni Mukaila ‘m’ and Badmus Sairu ‘m’. In view of this fact, the investigation team took immediate action and succeeded in arresting all the suspects mentioned except the said Taiwo now at large.

The police boss added that the principal suspect led the detectives to Fidibomi Area of Ikirun where the victim was killed, butchered and the remaining parts buried. The remains of deceased was exhumed and taken to UNIOSUN morgue for autopsy where the mother of the victim identified the last cloth worn by her son (victim).
Efforts are ongoing to nab the fleeing suspect and the arrested ones will be charged to court after the conclusion of investigation.”

Speaking with newsmen, Ifaseun Afolabi confessed to killing. He said the victim had approached him for money ritual but he told him that the items to be used were not available. He ordered the victim to come back later.

“After he left, Ifadare came to me to ask if I have human part. I told I don’t have that even the person that needed it just left. He advised that I should call him so that we use him for the ritual and I accepted. We invited Taiwo who helped us to kill him and shared his parts.
