Robert Lewandowski is reportedly set to leave FC Barcelona at the end of the season, bringing an end to a highly successful spell with the Spanish giants.

According to reports, the veteran striker is ready for a new challenge after four years at the club, where he has remained a consistent goal scorer. Since joining Barcelona in 2022, Lewandowski has netted around 120 goals across all competitions, playing a key role in the team’s successes.

However, with the Polish forward set to turn 38 before the start of next season, Barcelona are said to be planning a transition. Although the club was open to extending his contract, the offer reportedly included a reduced salary and a lesser role in the squad, conditions that did not appeal to the experienced striker.

Italian clubs Juventus FC and AC Milan are believed to be leading the race to sign Lewandowski on a free transfer. Both sides are reportedly willing to offer him a central role as he looks to continue competing at the highest level in Europe. Interest from Major League Soccer side Chicago Fire FC has also been mentioned, but the striker is said to prefer staying in Europe.

Meanwhile, Barcelona have already begun the search for a replacement, with Julián Álvarez emerging as their top target. The Argentine forward, currently with Atlético Madrid, is valued at around €120 million, making any potential deal financially challenging for the Catalan club.

Lewandowski is expected to focus on finishing the season strongly, as Barcelona push for another La Liga title under manager Hansi Flick before his anticipated departure this summer.
