Liverpool Football Club has announced that a victory parade will take place on May 26 to celebrate the club’s Premier League title win, allowing fans to join in the festivities.
The celebration follows Liverpool’s dominant 5-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield on Sunday, securing the club’s 20th league title. With a 15-point lead at the top of the Premier League and four games remaining, Liverpool has an uncatchable advantage, with second-placed Arsenal unable to close the gap.
In recognition of the achievement, Councillor Liam Robinson, leader of Liverpool City Council, officially invited the club to take part in the parade, which will occur the day after Liverpool’s final match of the season at home against Crystal Palace.
The parade route will mirror the one used after Liverpool’s 2019 Champions League victory, as well as their 2022 Carabao Cup and FA Cup triumphs. The 15-kilometre procession will start at Allerton Maze in the south of the city and travel north along Queens Drive, passing the Fiveways roundabout and the Rocket flyover.
Expected to last between three and five hours, the parade promises to be a memorable celebration. Liverpool City Council will release further details in the coming weeks.
“We’re thrilled to officially invite Liverpool Football Club to parade around the city on May 26,” said Robinson. “A Liverpool victory parade goes beyond football – it’s a celebration of the city’s pride, passion, and community spirit. There’s been months of careful planning behind the scenes, and the team will receive the celebration they truly deserve.”
The event is expected to make for an unforgettable Bank Holiday weekend, bringing the city together to honor the club’s historic achievement.
