The Ileogbo township hall was full to the brim as traditional rulers, community leaders, politicians, parents and students from all wards in Ayedire State Constituency gather to participate in the grand finale of the Maiden Edition of Hon. Elisha Oderinwale Students Welfare.
No fewer than 500 students have participated in the five weeks intensive free summer coaching organised by the Lawmaker.
According to Oderinwale, hundreds of free West African Examination Council (WAEC) forms will be distributed to brilliant students in the Constituency.
He described the programme as a fulfillment of his electoral promise, stating that he would continue the project throughout his tenure as a lawmaker.
He said, “this is fulfilment of my electoral promise. I thank God for making it happen and I want to encourage the students to be good ambassadors. We shall continue to do this throughout my campaign.”
Speaking at the event, the immediate past lawmaker for the Constituency, Gbenga Ogunkanmi described Oderinwale as a man of the people.
He called on electorates to always support and vote for the best candidate during elections and not to be party slaves.
Traditional rulers present include the Olowu of Kuta, Oba Hammed Adekunle Makama Oyelude, the Olu of Ileogbo, Oba Abeeb Adetoyese Agbaje, among others.
Oba Oyelude applauded the lawmaker for his gesture, while calling on government and parents to take education seriously.
