The lawmaker representing Ifelodun, Boripe, Odo-Otin Federal Constituency of Osun State, Rasheed Afolabi has landed in a five hundred million naira suit over an allegation made against Moshood Adekunle Oluawo (MUSADEK).
In the law suit No. HOS/33/2022 instituted by Oluawo, at the Osun State high court sitting in Osogbo, the Plaintiff is urging the court to award a sum of five hundred million naira against the lawmaker and a written apology to the Plaintiff to be filed in the national daily over allegations of assassination leveled by the Defendant against the Plaintiff at the Department of the State Security Services.
InsightMedia gathered that the Defendant sometime in October 2021 wrote a petition to the DSS alleging that some hoodlums attempted to assassinate him along Lokoja in Kogi State on his way to Abuja and that the Defendant was his principal suspect.
Consequently, the Plaintiff filed this suit to seek remedies against the Defendant’s allegations.
The presiding judge, Justice A. A. G. Onibokun has on 11th May, 2022 granted the Plaintiff leave to paste the process on the campaign office of the Defendant in Ikirun and same was executed on 13th May, 2022 by Plaintiff’s counsel, Muhydeen Adeoye Esq (Galadima).
When contacted by InsightMedia, Afolabi said he is ready to meet Oluawo in court, stating that he’s not aware of any damages.
“Am only aware of Court summon NOT award of any damages. We will meet in Court.”
